Calcium arsenate is one of inorganic arsenical compounds which have been classified as Class A oncogens based on sufficient human epidemiological evidence. They have been asseyed for mutagenic activity in variety of tests ranging from bacterial cells to peripheral lymphocytes of exposed humans. The weight of evidence indicates that they are mutagenic. Intravenous and intrperitoneal routes of exposure indicates that they are teratogenic and fetotoxic.

Expected effect of the final regulatory action in relation to human health:

No poisoning case caused by calcium arsenate is reported and also reduce introduction of oncogenic, mutagenic, teratogenic and fetotoxic agent into the country.
